Octopuses have three hearts
An octopus has three hearts and blue blood that uses copper-rich hemocyanin to carry oxygen.
Why it is true
Two hearts move blood through the gills. A third circulates oxygenated blood through the rest of the body. Hemocyanin works differently from the iron-rich hemoglobin that makes human blood red.
